Overview

Paldor Peak (5896m) is situated in the Ganesh Himal region, northwest from Kathmandu valley. This peak was first summited by Bill Tilman, Peter Lloyd, Tenzing Sherpa and Da Namgyal during the monsoon of 1949 by the North-East Ridge. This peak can be climb from north east, south east, west and south west ridge. As this peak is below six thousand meters climbers can reach to its summit with out not much more difficult.

Ganesh Himal region is popular for stunning glimpse of beautiful mountains and peaks. There are various species of birds, plants and wild animals, diverse culture of different ethnic groups. Some challenging passes, serene ponds, attractive waterfalls, beautiful landscapes, hidden valleys and colorful monasteries are also a plus point. So during this peak climbing journey climbers are rewarded with the fascinating glimpse of the beautiful mountains such as Ganesh Himal, Langtang ranges, Annapurna, Machhapuchhare, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Lamjung Himal.   • Day 1 : Day 1 Kathmandu Arrival and transfer to Hotel

    Welcome to Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu the capital of Nepal. Our PST representative will be waiting with a warm greeting with traditional Khata and easy transfer to your Hotel. Check in hotel and then briefing about the trip and climbing guide will check your climbing gear. Overnight at Hotel, Kathmandu

  • Day 2 : Day 2 City Sightseeing in Kathmandu
    • Altitude: 1400m
    • Duration: 4 hours

    After Breakfast our tour guide will lead you half day sightseeing visit UNESCO World Heritage sites in Kathmandu by private car. We will start by visiting the Buddhist stupa of Swayambhunath, also known as the Monkey. A panoramic view of Kathmandu city can be seen from the top of Swayambhunath. We then visit the Hindu temple of Pashupatinath, followed by a visit to another Buddhist stupa of Boudhanath.Boudhanath stupa is one of the biggest budhist stupa in Asia. After sightseeing there will be a trek briefing and distribute the duffle bag for porter carrying on bag. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 3 : Day 3 Drive from Kathmandu to Somdang 3258m via syabrubensi
    • Altitude: 3280m
    • Duration: 9 hours

    Today, we drive to the north-west hills of Kathmandu after taking the breakfast. Somdang is located in the Rasuwa district and is about 8-9 hours away from Kathmandu. We take the private Jeep and travel through the beautiful landscapes and Langtang himal ranges and alongside the Trishuli River.we enter the Langtang National Park and the green environment of the region. We reach Somdang after 8-9 hours’ Drive. Overnight at Somdang Lodges.

  • Day 4 : Day 4 High acclimatization – Pangshang Kharka 4280m and back to Somdang
    • Altitude: 3280m
    • Duration: 4-5 hours
    • Accommodation: Lodge

    This day we will hike up to Pangsang kharka and then back to Somdang, it will help to acclimatize with the high elevation and summiting the paldor peak. Overnight in Somdang Lodges

  • Day 5 : Day 5 Trek from Somdang to Jastakhani 3700m/4-5 hours

    Today, we head towards Jastkhani from Somdang. After breakfast we will start our real adventures trek .The path is a gradual ascent at the beginning and later. The trail goes steep uphill through the forests until reach jast khani. Finally we reach Jastakhani after 4 hours walk. We spend the night below the stars in a tented camp at Jasta khani. Overnight at Jasta Khani,

  • Day 6 : Trek from Jasta Khani to Lower Paldor Base camp 4280m/3-4 hours
    • Altitude: 4280m
    • Duration: 3-4 hours

    After Breakfast, we begin our trek again from Jasta Khani to paldor Base camp. We leave the tree line behind and walk the steep rocky ridges. Along the way, we head towards the moraines present below the glaciers of Paldor Peak. As the altitude keeps on elevating so we walk slowly and calmly with a full breath. We spend the night below the stars in a tented camp at Paldor base camp. Overnight at L.Paldor Base camp.

  • Day 7 : Trek from Lower Base camp to Higher Base camp 4980m/
    • Altitude: 4980m
    • Duration: 3-4 hours
    • Accommodation: Tent

    This day we do short hike around 2-3 hours and head towards higher base camp. This gives us time to acclimatize with the elevation and it help us for the summiting peak. We walk along the ridgeline in glacier path. Finally we reach at the camp and stay there for the night in tented accommodation. Overnight in higher Base camp 4980m.

  • Day 8 : Trek from Higher base camp to High camp 5300m/ 4 hours
    • Altitude: 5300m
    • Duration: 4 hours

    Today, we walk towards the high camp from higher base camp. We climb along the boulder fields and to a glacier lake called Fang. We reach the high camp after 4 hours hike and lay our tents at the High camp. The charismatic view of snowcapped mountains, glaciers and lakes fills us with motivation to climb the summit. We will practice using the climbing gears and do climbing preparation under the guidance of our climbing Sherpa. We spend the night below the stars in a tented camp at Paldor High camp. Overnight at High camp.

  • Day 9 : Paldor peak 5896m Summit and back to higher Base camp 4980m/7-8 hours

    We start climb early in the morning today with instructions of the Guide. We walk the steep and loose rocks covered with hard snow. The climbing is challenging and tricky even if it is below the 6000m but the instruction of the our expert climbing guide, we make it successfully summit to the peak .The spectacular Panoramic mountain view of Langtang Himalayan ranges, Ganesh Himalayan ranges and Himalayans of Tibetan plateau. After taking picture and spending some minutes at the peak we descend back to the Paldor Base camp where our kitchen crew will wait for us with hot soup and tea for us. Overnight at Base camp

    Today, we retrace our route back to Somdang and wave good bye to the majestic Paldor peak with your best memorable moments. We descend the steep downhill trail and meet the tree line and vegetation as we cross Jasta Khani. The streaming waterfalls and green forests provide us with cool refreshing aroma as we move forward. We spend the night at Somdang in Tea house Lodge. Overnight at Somdang

  • Day 12 : Drive from Somdang to Kathmandu 1400m by private Jeep 9 hours
    • Altitude: 1400m
    • Duration: 9 hours

    Today, early in the morning we head back to Kathmandu after having Breakfast in Somdang. The drive takes us about 8-9 hours to reach Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, we check in to the Hotel and relax your time. At the evening we enjoy the farewell dinner time with the celebration of the trek and expedition in the ambiance of the city. Overnight at Kathmandu.

  • Day 13 : Final Departure from Kathmandu
    • Meal: B

    Peak summit Trek representative will drop you off at Tribhuvan International Airport and bid you warm farewell with traditional ‘khata’ and hoping to see you again. Namaste!
